So many people feel frustrated that they can't get all the things done in a day or that they want to work out but don't have the energy, the list goes on. But sometimes, it's not about what you're trying to do that is the problem, it's what you need to stop doing that makes the things you really want to do easier.

I learned early on that if I wanted to be productive, feel good throughout the day and perform at the level I could be proud of, there were some things I could not do. Here's a short list to help get you thinking of what you can start trying to eliminate in your life.

  1. I stopped drinking

This doesn't mean I quit entirely. I may still have a drink or two every few months when I'm out with friends, but it's very rare. Many recent neurological studies are showing that there no longer is a "healthy" level of alcohol. Ahttps://www.thelancet.com/journals/eclinm/article/PIIS2589-5370(24)00389-

  2. I don't go to bed until I'm 100% ready to go to sleep

We all know by now how important sleep is, no kidding, I know. However, conditioning your brain through routine to know when you are in a certain location it's time to do a specific thing is crucial. This is called "classical conditioning" and is associated with neuroplasticity, or your brain's ability to learn new things, remember and adapt. Mental conditioning is fundamental to many of the things I teach, and this is an easy example of it at work that you can start trying to implement right away.

  3. I don't allow toxic people to INFLUENCE me

Everyone either knows or have known people that are just energy drains for whatever reason. Removing the influence that toxic people can have in your life can be one of the largest catalysts for change for some people. Notice how I said "influence". Sometimes, these people are in your workplace or family, and you can't just physically remove them from your life. This is where you must learn two skills, how to draw boundaries for your own emotional health and acceptance.

I hope these few things help to get you thinking about some of those anchors in your life that are holding you back.
